For Terry's solo, melodic playing style, tuning heads to actual notes is critical, and this new design has made tuning the myriad of drums Terry plays much easier. The new patent pending design was tested and perfected by Terry himself. A more bongo-like collar fits perfectly over the bearing edge without forced tension and stretching, resulting in no dead spots, even when you first put them on. The heads are easier to tune and stay in tune much better. And a special bonus, because of the perfect fit, the heads can last up to twice as long!
